ABOUT CAMPBELL’S • RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS

While social giving has long been a traditional at Campbell’s Soup, in recent years they are more determined than ever to make a healthy, sustainable product and have a strong impact on the communities in which they work.  Here are a few highlights:

  • Campbell’s 2009 global giving exceeded $32 million.
  • Since 1993 Campbell’s has collected 982.7 million pounds of food for local food banks.
  • Campbell’s Labels for Education has awarded more than $110 million in equipment and supplies to thousands of schools across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Campbell and Pepperidge Farm location employees engage annually in Make a Difference Week.  In 2009 more than 600 employees from seven different locations volunteered at 40 different projects, ranging from painting a mural at a local neighborhood center to planting trees along city streets.  Volunteers worked with 20 nonprofits during the week, many of which receive funding throughout the year from the Campbell Soup Foundation.
  • In the U.S. they have 100 products with a healthy level of sodium; more than 200 that are low in fat and saturated fat; more than 150 products that have 100 calories or less per serving; and more than 85 products certified by the American Heart Association.
